What to Expect

Counseling or psychotherapy is a process that requires commitment and consistency, whether for short term or long term treatment.  Reaching out to start the process is the first step.  Once your appointment has been scheduled, the first several sessions are focused on information gathering but also offer opportunities to begin addressing the issues for which you are seeking support.  A treatment plan is developed shortly thereafter to guide the focus of treatment, and subsequent sessions are dedicated to focusing on your treatment goal and any other treatment areas you choose to address.
